9:30 am: Hike it out with us!!
February 23, 2019
Please join us on a easy HIKE open to parents, kids, and friendly dogs that must be kept on a leash. Meet spot & parking is at the Moanalua Valley Park at the end of Ala Aolani Street in Moanalua Valley. We will be on the Kamananui Valley Trail which is good for all skill levels and is mostly flat. The plan is to hike 2.5 miles in and back, then enjoy a picnic lunch at the park. There is a playgroud for the kids, covered lanai area & bathrooms, but there is only one or two picnic benches, so bring chairs or mats for comfort. Don't forget hiking/athletic shoes that can get dirty, a hat, insect repellent (optional), & apply sun screen. We will have some water and snacks prior to leaving. PLEASE come a little early, so we can leave on time & be in it together!
Please visit the Hike it Out link here to RSVP and find out more information. We would love to have you!
It always feels good to take time for physical exercise and to physically release the grief. "Whatever your fitness level, try to get outdoors and spend time in nature. Exercise releases endorphins and clears the mind. Nature has an incredible way of helping us feel centered and in touch with something larger than ourselves."
